Ruan

Ruan comes in three sizes, big, medium and small. It is a lute with a circular body and 4 strings. Ruan works as a solo instrument as well as an ensemble.  The sound is often describe as rich and calming. 

阮,有大阮,中阮和小阮.用于独奏与合奏.其音色中正,浑厚,极具融合性且便于演奏和声.其历史可追溯至秦朝而其名则源自于古时一位著名的此乐器演奏者.名曰'阮咸'.
